European Scholarships for Developing Countries

The European countries government and UK Universities provide a large number of scholarships schemes for international students who want to study in Europe. To help you, has prepared a list of European Scholarships for developing countries students willing to study at European Universities. These scholarships are offered by the Governments, education institutions and a number of other organizations.  These scholarships cover various educational sectors such as art, science, engineering, technology etc. and undergraduate and postgraduate study degree programs as well as research programs.

CSFPScholarship Program: Commonwealth Scholarship & Fellowships Plan (CSFP)
Employer:  Department for International Development and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office are the departments ran by UK government in order to provide international development programs.
Level of study: Post graduation or Research degrees

Scholarship Program: Quota Scheme by Norwegian government
Employer: The Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund is a government agency that provides loans and grants to Norwegian and certain foreign students for their education. This system is aimed at making higher education available to everyone
Level of study:  This scholarship is available for Master’s, PhD level, and certain Professional courses.
Brief Scholarship Description: The Norwegian government provides scholarships for students from developing countries and countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia through the Quota Scheme. The objective of the scheme is to promote the internationalization of higher education.

Norwegian Agency for Development CooperationScholarship Program: Norad’s Programme for Master Studies (NOMA)
Employer:  This program is financed by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), and managed by SIU. Noard is working to empower recipient countries to achieve their own development goals.

Employer: UEG, or United European Gastroenterology, is a professional non-profit organization combining all the leading European societies concerned with digestive disease.
Level of study: This scholarship is for research projects.
Brief Scholarship Description: UEG awards a research prize worth € 100.000 each year for excellence in basic science, translational or clinical research. Brief Scholarship Description: The Aga Khan Foundation provides a limited number of scholarships each year for postgraduate studies to outstanding students from developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies. Scholarships are awarded on a 50% grant: 50% loan basis through a competitive application process once a year in June or July.
